		<description>The cables look great, and I can&#039;t wait to see more of the scarf, too! One tip for gauge is maybe wrapping the yarn around either more than one finger, or more than once around a single finger. 

Sounds like you&#039;ve got a lot going on, knitting-wise. I hope you get a picture of the Green Gable up soon; I really like the lace panel on that sweater.</description>

A couple notes in response:
1) Exact gauge is not so important for this project, as long as your swatch comes out to be a square.  If it&#039;s not square, then the top band and the body of the bag might not fit together well, though this could potentially be fixed during blocking.

2) 2 skeins should be enough for the bag.  When I test-knit the bag, I actually finished the main bag with 1 skein only, and used the second skein for the handles.  I had well over a hundred yards left over.
